Fake lie-versations

So many of people's emotions and expressions are fake. There are more times in life in which you tell a blatant lie to someone you know or a complete stranger. Every time someone in a store asks you "how are you today?" it isn't because they genuinely care how you feel, they don't even expect a real response because it isn't a real question is it, its rhetorical. Programed question and answer statements between complete strangers simply because it would be too awkward to have silence between the interchange of goods for currency, or to 'appear pleasant' to customers to encourage them to buy. Or to your friends, you say "hey whats up" but you neither care about their response nor genuinely need to know, you just say it. I wonder what it would be like to be in a world where people did care, if they asked how you are they really wanted to know, and you gave them an honest answer...but that'l never happen. Imagine being at the grocery store and the clerk asks "Hi how are you today?" and you answer "Im incredibly depressed, I hate my life and this bottle of whiskey is for me to drown out my emotions and feelings of contempt toward my overall failure in life" no one wants to hear that, or deal with that with a complete stranger or even a close friend at times. So instead we have these meaningless programed question and answer lie-versations with people to quell the silence.

Sometimes these fake programed responses go even further, someone tells you or posts on Facebook or Twitter that a loved one in their life has passed away, what do you say? You say "I'm so sorry for your loss, my condolences to your family". In reality you don't care at all that that person died if you didn't know them, you just say that because you don't know what else to say and you want them to think you care and have sympathy for them. I would be willing to bet that while you're saying that sentence you're thinking about what you will have for dinner or what show you want to watch later on tv. I saw a movie recently called "The invention of lying" you might of heard of it, in it everyone tells the absolute truth, what they're feeling, how they perceive people, what they will really be doing, it was great. Imagine a world where you couldn't lie, you couldn't just make something up to be conveniently unavailable, it would be brutal but true.

This might just be me, maybe I'm seeing it incorrectly or maybe my own social awkwardness has pushed me to believe this because I myself am not genuine with people most of time. Anyway I'm trying to get into this writing thing more often, as I don't really get to have too many in depth conversations so at least I can write out my thoughts here. Too many times I'm feeling like I'm full of things to say but no one to say them to, or at least no one who wants to listen. People don't like being serious, they don't like be critical of themselves and society. I am not light hearted, I am not lost in a fantastical cloud of ignorance, the world is full of swine devouring everything and shitting the remains in the corners of our lives and it needs be talked about.
